Multi-pitch Climbing
Explore longer routes in and around the mountains of North Wales!
Whether you are new to Multi-pitch Climbing or want to become more efficient and improve, this course is for you.
With a maximum ratio of 1:2, this will allow you to get the most out of the day. We will teach or develop your knowledge of gear placement and removal, anchor selection and belay building, route selection and identification as well as knots.
Eryri (Snowdonia) offers great locations for intro to advanced Multi-pitch Climbing. We are spoilt for choice in North Wales from the sea cliffs of Holyhead, to the Mountain crags of Llanberis Pass and Ogwen Vall. There is no better place to discover the adventure of Multi-pitch Climbing.
Scrambling & Mountaineering
Are you a keen hill walker but want to tackle more challenging routes or terrain? Or are you a keen climber wanting to move quickly and effectively over easier terrain?
Scrambling and mountaineering provides a great adventure in the mountains of the UK and abroad.
Here at Found in the Mountains our expert instructors can guide you up classic routes in North Wales or provide a tailored course to help you learn the skills need to independently go on scrambling and mountaineering adventures in the UK.
Into to Scrambling will see you explore Grade 1 terrain (no ropes required), focusing on effective movement over rock, developing decision making, effective route choices and navigation.
Advanced Scrambling will see you learning the ropes., tackling tricker routes where ropes will be required. Learn the basics or be taken on a guide tour of the best routes in Eryri.
Locations could include the impressive Tryfan in the Ogwen Valley or Crib Goch to get to the summit of Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon)
Hill Walking & Navigation
Start the road to independent days in the hills.
This course will cover basic's of map and compass skills, while being in the hills.
We can run this course anywhere in the UK to suit your needs. Locations can include:
